I am writing to you on behalf of the Excel Program (formerly Jobs For Florida’s Graduates www.flgraduates.org) for middle students at Crescent City Junior/Senior School in Crescent City, Florida. I am the teacher for this program.
Excel is an exceptional educational platform which helps students develop personally and academically and prepares them for entering the work world. The foundation’s goal, helping students transition from school to work, is exemplified in the work students do including community service, anti-bullying work, and preparing for careers beyond high school.
Our student body (the 7th and 8th grade) at CCJSHS is majority low-income and one hundred percent participant in the federally assisted school lunch program. As a result, many of our students do not have access to basic need items. To help alleviate this situation, Excel started an on campus store which supplies basic need items (clothes, personal products) to students, free of charge.
We would love to hear from you regarding making a product donation to our store. We are most in need of hoodies and water bottles, though we would graciously accept any expression of your generosity. (We can provide the appropriate non-profit documentation).
