Noname – Blaxploitation
Chicago is home to several talented stars in all types of different lanes. Noname, the 27-year old poet morphed musician is undeniably on that list. Back in September her debut studio album (“Room 25”) was released which went on to be critically acclaimed. Noname built a following for years before arriving to the position she comfortably sits at now. But today in the TMTV Theatre we bring you her first ever music video. “Blaxploitation” receives the cinema treatment, directed by Alex Lill. In the creative flip we watch a young black toddler “terrorize” white families in Godzilla-like fashion through a replica Chi-Town. Her style mixes jazzy influences with strong, authentic content and thought-provoking lyrics. “Blaxploitation” is no exception. Be sure to use the comment section below to give your impressions on Noname’s first video release. As always, continue to check into the TMTV Theatre for new music videos from Boston to Beyond. #TMTV (written by: @NateSaid)
