Latrell James – Okay
Boston Music Awards honored Latrell James with the song of the year award for his smash single: “Okay”. Today in the TMTV Theatre, the 617 native gifts us with the song’s visual release. Once upon a time Latrell didn’t even know if the Loman-produced diamond in the rough would be a record he would even release. But even that story draws some similarities with the story of the artist’s own career (thus far). Starting off as strictly a performance record (a song strictly heard/seen at his concerts) that audiences grew to love to the point Latrell had to release it to streaming sites where it grabbed hundreds of thousands of plays. Fast forward it winning the BMA for song of the year last month then weeks after that we get the video release. A true mini-reflection of Latrell’s career to this point. Keep your head down and keep working, the people will gravitate towards your dopeness when the the timing is right. I say that to say – Latrell James’ time is clearly now. Latrell understands his fan base at the same time as understanding there will always be a space for good music. Head over to our theatre to watch the Dylan Fout-directed cut then leave some of thoughts on the record/visual below in the comments section. #TMTV (written by: @NateSaid)
