GNipsey – Come Up
Cambridge’s young boss GNipsey has a lot of eyes and ears on him right now. And for good reason too. The raw, hungry, talent is on a heat-streak with zero intent on taking his foot off the gas pedal. In two months we seen three of the hardest visuals in the state come from GNip. “That GLTT” w/ BJ Balla, followed up with “Find Me” and now “Come Up”. Half-stepping away from the sound his audience is used to, the young street artist slows and softens up his style a couple notches. But, he keeps the content right at the gritty level he delivers best. “Steady schemin’ on the low/Runnin’ on the road – lookin’ for a come up/Everywhere a n***** go/Gotta have the pole – stackin’ all these guns up/Moncler be the tee/Balmain the jeans – cause I got my funds up/Fresh home from the jam/Stuck up in that hole – now I’m tryna come up” he pens on the chorus. ShotbyTanj handled all the camerawork for the video – perfectly completing the task of matching the feeling you get from the visual to walk with feeling you get from the song. Head over to the TMTV Theatre to watch “Come Up” from beginning to end, to then, share your thoughts in the section below this post on GNipsey’s latest. #TMTV (written by: @NateSaid)
