7981 Kal – Deadly Intuition
“I’m tired of n****** talkin’ ‘bout what they gon’ do/They shot me, I ain’t die/I guess I’m blessed like n***** said ahhchu” 7981 Kal has “Deadly Intuition” on his newest drop for the streets. In a year where one of the rawest 617 voices has already been locked up, a couple weeks ago the HSM soldier could have lost his life to some gunshot wounds after being hit in the city. But instead, he lives to continue to tell his story. “Life Without Fear”, the debut project from Kal, is already shaping up to be something special. 7981 Kal can not only rap but he can put records together at a high quality level. Lately, he has been experimenting with a range of sounds. “Deadly Intuition” is another release where Kal catches himself outside his comfort zone yet doesn’t miss a beat. Autotune’d melodies over trap pianos is a good way to describe the single. Frequent Collaborator for Kal, Kejuan Blake, stepped behind the lens to fill that role yet again. But this release without question is one of the hardest to date even with the lack of scenes. Kal watches himself fight for his life on a hospital bed.
